As usual, found while looking for something else. Now I'm looking for my lost half hour.

Yesterday evening, a voice intruded on my attention from the street. The voice was being decidedly loud and uncomplimentary about someone. Second quiet night in a row in Bethnal Green. There were almost 16,000 police out in London again. I hope they're getting overtime…

At the end of yesterday afternoon, half a dozen kids came out to play and that signalled the return to near normality.

That's all I have time for now. I'll try to answer your questions about who and why, etc. later.

Last night was quieter than the preceding ones, both in Bethnal Green and the rest of London. Nothing super close to us at any rate. The riots have now jumped over to other cities. More people are out in my area but it's still less busy than usual.

Sorry for not updating earlier but normal life continues too. :)

This morning revealed a few broken windows on a nearby street but that's as close as the disturbances got last night. The main trouble spots in Bethnal Green (and Bow) were a little further away.

Hi, this still seems to be the quickest way of updating everyone who's asking. The unrest spread to Bethnal Green this evening but is quite a few streets away from us.
